WHAT IS GOOGLE DOCS?
Google Docs is basically a service offered by Google that lets you have a web site where host text documents, spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations. All these files can be created on-line from Google Docs or if you have one already created you can upload to this space. Once you have the document, spreadsheet or presentation in Google Docs, you can share it with whoever you want and with the possibility that someone else can only read or also edit and change the document.
The steps you follow the tutorials below this text, summarizing:
1 .- You must have a gmail account to access Google Docs. If you have not already create it by following the steps saw in step 1.
2 .- Once you have a google account, sign in to Google Docs by typing in the address bar: http://google.com/docs
3 .- Click on the upload button you'll find on the left side of the work area to upload the document you have on your hard drive.
4 .- Click on select files to upload, you have to find the folder where the file. Then make sure it is selected the option "Convert documents, presentations and spreadsheets to Google Docs corresponding forms" Click the button on the bottom: start the climb.
5 .- After a while (depending on file size) will upload the file and click on the top: Go to Google Docs. Uploaded file appears.
6 .- To share the file so other people can edit the document and make your changes, situate above the file and click the right button. Drop-down menu and then choose to share the option to invite users.
7 .- You have to write the email to gmail users who want to invite. So instead of Google Docs document will appear and you can edit and modify. The amendments are snapshots in time to be saved and all users can see them.
